It’s been maybe a week or two since I’ve updated, and I’m pretty sure many heads have given up on this site by now…according to my wordpress stats at least. Anyway, for the grand re-opening of Chaque Saison I thought I’d post a few things I’ve always wanted, but somehow forgot about em, or have just been to broke. (and that ain’t funny!)

First up to bat is the Eames Bird produced by Vitra. If you’re an Eames fan then you’ve seen this piece pop up in a lot of Charles’ photography. Probably most recognizable in the product shot of the D.K.R. (wire chairs). In fact this little bird made it’s way into the Waste MGMT. logo I made 4 or 5 years ago.

Above we have a hand-made doll by Marilyn Neuhart. She worked closely with Alexander Girard and other notable Midcentury designers. Of course I don’t want to play with these things, but I would like to throw it up on my ESU for display purposes. I remember seeing an issue of DWELL that featured DJ Greyboys LA home, and he had a collection of them on his George Nelson CSS Unit (which I’d like to have also!)

Keep it coming on time like clockwork…pause. Ok, I actually already have a collection of Nelson clock, but there is always room for more. Above is one of Nelson’s table versions; however, I think it was actually designed by Irving Harper. I’d like to get a large collection of these, put them in one room, with nothing but a rocking chair and go nuts with from the tick…tock.

Right now, my collection of artwork is mostly comprised of prints from Kaws, and Haze, as well as, Supreme artist series decks. So, I think there is a need for me to switch it up, and I’ve actually wanted these posters from Herman Millers Summer Picnics for years, but they gotta be prior to the 80’s.

I regret the day I passed the QMPO stereo system for a Sony Mini-Disc player instead, but I was young with a lot of cash to blow in Japan (1999), and the idea of being able to skate or go running without having my music skipping was too tempting. If I had the QMPO now I would totally burn CD’s off of iTunes solely to use the stackable Lego like stereo and remote.
*On a side note, you could also buy QMPO “boxes” to accompany the system for storing CD’s or whatever.
